My Sister's Closet Boutique, located at 301 North Street in Batavia, New York, is a store with a mission. Our primary goal is to provide quality and affordable clothing to women and families in our community, as well as outfits for women entering or re-entering the job market. Proceeds from our sales go towards supporting the YWCA Domestic Violence Crisis and Prevention Services Program, helping those in need of assistance. Our boutique also provides clothing to domestic violence clients when needed. Founded in 1996 by YWCA staff members Sandy Funke and Linda Olson, My Sister's Closet Boutique started as a volunteer-based program and has since grown with the support of our community. Over the years, we have moved locations to accommodate our growing inventory and customer base. In 2019, we underwent renovations and relocated near the YWCA Main Office to continue serving our customers in a new space.
