Welcome to the Saint Marianne Cope Shrine & Museum, a unique sanctuary of history, spirituality, and community engagement located at 601 North Townsend Street, Syracuse, New York. As a museum, place of worship, and store, we are dedicated to preserving and celebrating the remarkable legacy of Saint Marianne Cope and the Sisters of St. Francis of the Neumann Communities. Saint Marianne Cope, canonized on October 21, 2012, was a pioneering figure in health care and education, known for her compassionate service to those in need. Her extraordinary life, marked by her dedication to caring for individuals with Hansen's disease in Molokai, Hawaii, continues to inspire us all. As the first Franciscan woman from North America to be canonized and only the 11th American saint, her legacy is a testament to empathy and service.
