TRIO Adult Educational Opportunity Center (AEOC)
The TRIO Adult Educational Opportunity Center (AEOC) is located at 1 College Road in Batavia, New York, between Rochester and Buffalo. As a program funded by the U.S. Department of Education and sponsored by SUNY Genesee Community College (GCC), AEOC offers free support to community members seeking to further their education. The center is staffed by knowledgeable professionals who assist with high school equivalencies, college applications, financial aid, and scholarship opportunities at local, state, and national levels. AEOC is separate from SUNY GCC Admissions and does not recruit for the college. Participants are encouraged to apply to any college or school of their choice. The program aims to increase the number of adults enrolling in postsecondary education institutions by providing counseling on admissions, financial aid options, and basic financial planning skills.
