Yager Museum
Welcome to the Yager Museum of Art & Culture, a vibrant cultural hub and tourist attraction located in Oneonta, New York. Nestled within the Hartwick College campus, this unique museum offers an enriching experience for visitors of all ages, where academic knowledge meets practical application. Our museum serves as a dynamic learning environment, engaging Hartwick students in hands-on Museum Studies courses that contribute to the creation of captivating exhibitions and programs for the public. Join us for the Fall 2024 season, beginning Tuesday, August 27, and explore our diverse collections and exhibitions through Thursday, December 12, 2024. We are open Tuesday through Saturday, from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm, whenever Hartwick College is in session. Please note that the museum will be closed from October 5 through October 13 for the College’s October Break and from November 23 through December 1 for Thanksgiving Break.

Greater Oneonta Historical Society
Welcome to the Greater Oneonta Historical Society, a cornerstone of cultural preservation located at 183 Main Street, Oneonta, New York. Since 1939, we have been dedicated to preserving the rich heritage of the greater Oneonta area and engaging our community through educational programs and exhibits. Please note that our History Center will be temporarily closed from Monday, August 12 to Monday, September 2 for essential entryway tilework restoration. During this period, we will offer “office hours” by appointment every Saturday in August (8/17, 8/24, 8/31) from 10 AM to 4 PM. These appointments will allow for visits to our first-floor exhibitions, research inquiries, collections and auction donations, and gift shop purchases. Available items include the 2024 Hometown Heroes printed booklets, 2024 Fundraiser Raffle Tickets, and Hops For History! Event Tickets.
