"Our main issue is with the owner. Susan Mendogni loves her COMPANY COMPETITIVE TEAM team. She asks ALL parents to go online on Google/Yelp and review 5 stars, then asks us to ask our family to review, even though they have no experience with Fancy Feet (that’s why you see such high ratings). Danity uniforms throughout the year are a minimum of $300, accessories – plain black duffle bag $100, thin competition jacket $125, classes are about $225 a month at minimum, dance photos are a minimum of $50, parents have to participate in mandatory fundraisers throughout the dance year. Uniforms are expected to last over one year because you compete and perform the same dance for about two years. Now, this was a red flag for me: over $5,000 to learn one or two dances and it is not guaranteed you will be on the team the next year. THINK ABOUT IT. Many, if not all, parents have had side conversations about this but still remain in the company because they’ve invested throughout the year and see it a waste to leave in the middle of… or maybe their children love it, or maybe they just need to be in an activity throughout the school year. Susan Mendogni claims she has a close relationship with COMPANY TEAM parents who has supported her business for a minimum of 5 years, however, she treats new parents like children. She is aggressive about payments, immature, and tells parents they complain too much. Our family no longer supports 100% profit business because after our fundraising money was stolen and we addressed it in the group chat since other parents had this issue, but she decided to remove our child from the team completely. She did not want to hear anything else via phone or email regarding her decision. No threats or profanity was used, she just felt embarrassed that everything they write and email you in the beginning doesn’t add up—READ THE FINE PRINT. All money that was spent throughout the year on accessories, tuition, WASTED… no reward, only for a comment in a private chat. We were not able to purchase tickets for the show until we spoke to Susan about the comment from 3 months ago on the group chat. She wanted to wait until the show to let us know we will not be moving forward on the team and no partial refund to be given. When asked for a refund for a full month, uniforms for competition later in the year, we only received half the summer tuition for $180. Befriended parents wanted to come together and fight for my child's spot, but at that point, I felt like her immaturity level was going to annoy me throughout the year. I had to face my child to let her know why her hard work came to an end."
