"My wife, Theresa, had a 2:30 appointment with Dr. Grossman. Unfortunately, my wife made two mistakes. 1) She arrived late after getting lost, and calling for directions twice. 2) Keeping her appointment on the day she found out her cancer may have returned. Theresa called me crying on the phone because she sat in the office for almost 10 minutes before being informed Dr. Grossman could not see her due to her lateness. She also was refused a doctor's note because she was not seen by the doctor. I called the office and left several messages regarding this. I finally found someone who was willing to help me after about my seventh call. My wife was able to get the letter -without an envelope I might add. My complaint is about the staff behind the desk in the front. Patients are often at the mercy of the staff that works for the doctor. I understand they are often overworked and undervalued. However, that is no excuse to treat patients with a blasé attitude. One never knows what one is going through, and a little understanding can go a long way. Short, curt responses are not the way to go. We will find another doctor since tact is not a trait exercised at this office. I thank the one person who made it possible for my wife to get a doctor's note. She was the ONLY person who asked, "How can I help?""

"They are excellent -- but folks should know its no longer at this location, but at a completely new building at 1530 Front St (part of the NYU Langone Ambulatory Center East Meadow) -- told Google of change 3 weeks ago!"

"I don’t post too many reviews, but I am still seething from my experience this morning that I just had to vent! I took my mom to Winthrop Orthopedic on Hempstead Tpke in East Meadow this morning for a 10:30 appointment with Dr. Glenn Teplitz. We arrived on time, checked in and sat in the waiting room. There were several other people waiting as well. We waited....and waited...and waited! At 11:30 the nurse called us in and we proceeded to a room at the far end of the long corridor. She asked my mom some questions and then left us in the room to wait for the doctor. Ten minutes, 15, 20, 25 minutes went by as we sat in a room that was colder than a meat locker! No doctor. No one came in to let us know that the doctor was running late....nothing! No communication! By 12:00, I took my mother’s arm and we walked out of the office. As we walked down the long corridor back to the reception area, we did not see the doctor or any staff members anywhere! I went up to the front desk where a receptionist was talking to a patient, and I politely interrupted and said: excuse me, but 1-1/2 hours was an unacceptable amount of time to wait, and that we were leaving! She just asked for my mom’s name, and we left! It is now almost 3 hours later, and my mom has not received any phone call from the office! I’m sorry, but I don’t care how good a doctor you are or the fact that you have a good reputation, it is rude and inconsiderate to let a patient wait that long! What this says to me is that your time is valuable and mine is not! P.S....we will never be going back there again!"

"Dr Zouzias preformed ACL and Meniscus surgery on my 16 year old son. He was amazing from beginning to end. Great bedside manner and didn’t hesitate to answer any of our millions of questions. His secretary Kelly and the whole Wintrop team made this experience so easier on us all."

"The pediatric part is amazing!!!! The adult part is pathetic. My son got to his appointment 15 min early. Was called into the room 5 min before his appt. doctor did not come in the room for another 35 minutes. I’m sorry, that is unacceptable. No one even came in to say the dr will be right in or there was an emergency. He just sat there waiting until he went out to ask where the dr was."
