Dr. Kokkosis completed her undergraduate and medical education through a prestigious combined BS-MD program at Stony Brook University. She further honed her expertise in vascular surgery at the renowned Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, where she was part of the integrated vascular surgery program.
Specializing in both open and endovascular approaches, Dr. Kokkosis is highly skilled in treating a range of conditions, including aneurysmal disease, carotid disease, peripheral arterial disease, dialysis access, and venous disease. Her ability to communicate fluently in Greek and Spanish enhances her ability to connect with Long Island's diverse population.
Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Kokkosis is deeply committed to education and research. She has played a significant role in medical student and resident education nationally through the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS), serving as chair of both the Medical Student Section and the Vascular Trainee Section. Her research interests focus on peripheral arterial disease in women, venous disease, and dialysis access.
