"Great service, thanks Nadeema. Fast and efficient and got our PCC very quick. However felt it was very overpriced and inflated due to being out of the country. Fully appreciate the complexity to have this done so quick. Other than that highly recommended"
"We were getting two visas for kids with ILS New York. We worked with Nataly M. All emails were promptly answered, she was helpful and in general the experience was quite positive. The paperwork was a bit of a bureaucratic maze, but Nataly helped us to navigate through the process. Despite a relatively short time frame she ensured that all documents are in order, and we got the passports just in time for the trip."
"This place is not trustworthy!!! I sent them documents via mail 10 weeks before intended travel date. 4 weeks before my travel they emailed saying that they are submitting my documents to the embassy and they are ready to ship back to me one day before my travel day. They did not advise me beforehand about their REAL processing times. The website says I would get my visa in 5-7 weeks time. They don’t answer phone calls. Completely horrible experience! Use other agencies to avoid all this trouble!"
"Friendly staff who know the process and do try to help if you have any mistakes on your forms (I did not realize the application had to have been completed in the last 30 days) and even stayed open a bit later so I could redo the form on my phone and resubmit. I went for a 3.40pm appointment - I think having an appointment means you get to go to the slightly more exclusive “Appointments” window rather than the general “Walk Ins” one but I had to wait about 3 minutes to be seen."
"This place is just too slow. There is no tangible benefit in having your forms ready as they don't have a drop-off area. Appointments can also be delayed significantly beyond the alotted time. It's clean and quiet and the staff is all right... that's about all the good in it. Based on my present experience, I'd say it's way better to pay extra for the mail service, especially if you're from out of the City (Whitestone Bridge toll, Midtown Tunnel toll, NYC traffic and parking, etc). Just pay for the mail service and avoid the hassle or make a touristy day out of the errand. UPDATE: after 3pm, when all of the appointments were over, several lines opened up and the waiting time decreased from roughly 20-30min per person to 5-10min per person. This truly expedited things. The lady that assisted me was very pleasant and just as I'm getting ready to boost my review +1 star, she found an error in my application form, which she kindly offered to correct electronically: for $35!!! The error was a hyphen that my passport uses as part of my last name; I did not include the hyphen. So I could either leave and find a way to edit and reprint or I could (and obviously!!!) pay $35. So I paid. There went a -1 star. I proceed to the cashier and I'm told that I can return in a month for my passport/visa. I had erroneously assumed that the processing fee included mail-return. So I asked if I could opt-in now for the mail service. She agreed but I had to get back in line. The cashier, also pleasant and compassionate, saw my now dismayed and disheartened demeanor, took pity on me and allowed me to do it all from her window. There went a +1 star but, of course, I had to shove more money at which point any benefit that I could have earned from going there in person had evaporated; and there went -1 star... My conclusion after this visit is that because this office is not an actual consulate, but a business, it is the business' goal to capitalize on all goods and services they provide; "convenience" is an area where they can capitalize extensively in NYC because convenience is in short supply in NYC. Nothing in NYC is convenient, and they know it, and thus they sell you a way out: Rhe Mail Service. So please, hear me out: lest you live within walking distance of this place, just pay for the mail service. The staff is kind and pleasant but these widespread, intrinsic, archetypal and epidemic inconveniences that I♡NY has when running even the simplest errands will make the mail service fee feel like pocket change after it's all said and done. Next time, I'll just pay extra and I can't stress enough my recommendation that you too should do the same. My sincere love to the staff that helped me."
