Located at 257 East Main Street, our department is proud to serve the community with over 300 dedicated volunteer members who operate from five strategically located fire stations within the city limits. Our mission is to safeguard lives, property, and the environment through exceptional services in education, preparedness, prevention, and prompt response to emergencies. Our fleet includes four pumpers, a Squirt articulating boom, an aerial ladder truck, a Special Operations Squad vehicle, a Fire Police vehicle, two river rescue boats, and three Chief’s vehicles. Our Special Operations Squad features an Accident Victim Extrication Team (AVET), a Technical Rescue Rope Team, and a Water Operations Team.
