The Museum of Bronx History (MBH) at the Valentine-Varian House
The Museum of Bronx History (MBH) at the Valentine-Varian House is a historic institution located at 3266 Bainbridge Avenue in New York, United States. Built in 1758, the Valentine-Varian House is the last remaining farmhouse along the Boston Post Road. Originally constructed by blacksmith and farmer Isaac Valentine, the Georgian-style house served as a hub for agricultural and blacksmithing activities during the Revolutionary War. After passing through several owners, the house was eventually donated to The Bronx County Historical Society in 1965. Today, the society operates the Valentine-Varian House as a museum dedicated to showcasing the history of the Bronx borough. Through exhibitions and educational programs, visitors can learn about the changes and developments that have shaped the area over the years.
