Skaneateles Conservation Area
The Skaneateles Conservation Area is a beautiful park and tourist attraction located at 1898 County Road 133 in Marcellus, New York, United States. This institution consists of three geographically separate municipal conservation areas, including the Skaneateles Conservation Area, the Mabel M. Reynolds Nature Preserve, and the Dunning tract. The Skaneateles Conservation Area, situated on Old Seneca Turnpike and Gully Road, covers approximately 300 acres of land with wooded areas, a fishing pond, beaver pond, wetlands, waterfall, observation decks, pavilion, picnic tables, and lean-to for camping. The Mabel M. Reynolds Nature Preserve, located on Benson Road and Reynolds Road, spans about 123 acres of woodland. The Dunning tract, behind Grace Chapel on US Rt. 20 and NY Rt. 175, encompasses around 90 acres of land, with a third of it being wooded and the rest leased for agricultural purposes.
