Youth FX
Youth FX is a dynamic institution located at 25 Warren Street in Albany, New York, United States. Our mission is to empower young people aged 10-25 by providing them with the tools and knowledge needed to excel in the world of digital film and media arts. We focus on working with diverse groups of youth from historically underserved communities, giving them the opportunity to learn filmmaking and acquire skills in emerging media technologies. Our hands-on programming not only develops technical skills in digital media production, but also fosters leadership, creativity, and critical thinking. Participants engage with their communities by creating documentary and short fiction films that reflect their unique perspectives and visions of the world. Many of the films produced by our students have received accolades and have been showcased at major film festivals across the country.
