Amanda's House
Amanda's House is a health institution located at 22 Henry Street in Glens Falls, New York, United States. It provides accommodations for Glens Falls Hospital patients and their families who have traveled a distance for health care. The house is conveniently located just a few blocks away from the hospital and offers three bedrooms and two bathrooms, with handicap accessible facilities on the ground floor. While Amanda's House does not provide healthcare services, it offers comfortable room and board accommodations for those who can live independently. Security is available 24 hours a day, and guests are asked to adhere to house rules for the safety of all occupants. The institution was established in memory of Amanda Rose Cafaro, a young girl who battled acute myelogenous leukemia. After her passing, the community came together to create Amanda's House as a memorial to her and a place of support for others in need. The house underwent renovations in 2001 through the efforts of volunteers and donations, and has since provided a home for hundreds of guests each year.
