Dr. Shur earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University Medical School in Novosibirsk, Russia, in 1981. She completed her internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship there before furthering her training in the United States at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine/VAMC Residency Program, where she completed another internal medicine residency in 1998.
