Northtown Music is a school and store located at 3648 Harlem Road in Buffalo, New York. We offer music lessons for most instruments at a rate of $15 per half hour, taught by New York State Certified teachers. Our 'Lesson to Own' system allows school students to gradually pay for their instrument while taking lessons. We also offer quality instrument rentals for woodwind, brass, and string instruments, with most repairs included in the rental fee. In addition, we have partnerships with Alfred Digital Sheet Music and Hal Leonard Digital Sheet Music for easy access to sheet music. The Northtown Music Big Band, led by store owner Ben Boyar, is a 15-piece ensemble of local jazz musicians and educators that performs traditional and new big band music throughout Western New York. Ben Boyar, a former school teacher with over three decades of experience, has brought important musicians like Wynton Marsalis and Terrence Blanchard to work with his students.
