The storied history of our location adds to the charm of your shopping experience. The barn, built in 1858, was originally part of the John Williams estate and has been lovingly restored in 2018 to preserve its historical significance while creating a welcoming space for book lovers. This transformation was made possible by the expertise of Michael Walker and Expert Builders, in collaboration with the Cazenovia Historic Commission and NYS Historic Preservation Office.

"Superb used bookstore in a classic old barn. Great selection (it seems like they have more books than the actual library) Book selection changes readily and rapidly due to donations. Make sure the visit the adjacent library and its Cabinet of Curiosities museum (including the mummy! Say hi to the Library cat. The prices here are very reasonable and they often have sales so be sure to stop frequently! The location inside the old Carriage House creates a phenomenal ambiance that is perfect for what they are doing in the book store. The employees are always so kind too."
