Skylark Diner, located at 248 Vestal Parkway East in Vestal, New York, is a beloved institution serving up delicious meals and providing an extraordinary dining experience. Established in 1956, Skylark Diner is one of the oldest continuously open restaurants in the Southern Tier of New York State. Originally one of four restaurants opened by Orval Stevens, the diner was custom ordered as a prebuilt diner car from New Jersey and shipped to Vestal by train. The diner underwent a major renovation in the early 1960s, adding a larger dining room and a new roof and awning. Today, Skylark Diner continues the tradition of fine foods and a friendly atmosphere under the third generation of the Stevens Family.
