Welcome to the Untermyer Fountain, a captivating tourist attraction nestled in the heart of Central Park, Manhattan, New York. Located at East 105th Street, this enchanting fountain is a tribute to the esteemed lawyer and civic leader Samuel Untermyer and his wife, Minnie Untermyer, a cultural patroness and suffragist. Situated in the northern section of the Conservatory Garden, the Untermyer Fountain features a stunning bronze cast of Walter Schott’s "Three Dancing Maidens." This exquisite piece of art was originally acquired by the Untermyers in the early 1900s from the workshop of the renowned German artist. It graced the garden of their Yonkers estate before being generously donated to Central Park by their children in memory of their parents.
