"Terrible. I came immediately here to write a review and I usually don’t do reviews. I went here today, on Labor Day 2023 and as soon as I walked in it smelled dirty. Like the floors haven’t been properly mopped. I almost turned around then. Instead, I went to the fridge and grabbed a Snapple. It looked weird, so I shook it up a few times, the contents were still gathered at the bottom. So I looked at the date (which I hardly do), and it expired July 2023. I put it back. The staff were friendly, but I noticed their clothes were really dirty. I still ordered. When I got home and tasted the food, it was worse than I expected. My husband said, ew what is that smell. I told him, it smells exactly how it smelled when I walked in there. It stunk so bad. I ate a bit, and it tasted SO bad. Like dirty meat. The rice and peas weren’t even actual Jamaican rice and peas, it was like Spanish rice con guandules. Worst oxtail meal in my life, and I love me some oxtail. Also, now my stomach hurts. Never again."
"Bad experience. The service sucks & the ladies behind the counter are nasty. I ordered two large ox tails and I will never do that again. The rice is so bland it has no flavor. The oxtails taste like nothing as well and there's so much fat on them. Usually when I go to Golden crust the food is pretty good, not specifically this one but in general. If I could give them no stars I would!"
"Let me tell you! I’m from Jamaica and I never expect the oxtail here to tun up so!! Best $11 I’ve spent in a long time! The serving was plentiful for leftovers which is always good. The meat was tender and juicy and it went well with the flavorful rice. I’m not sure what experience everyone else had but I loved it, they were not rude but very helpful. The cashier didn’t even want to serve me soup as it didn’t have enough meat, I’ll be back though. Also usually at a Jamaican restaurant everyone packed at the cashier shouting orders, here there was a line and though there was a wait it was worth it. My coworker bought me the stew peas one Tuesday and that too tasted very good. I’ll be going back!"
