Woosamonsa Ridge Hiking Preserve, located at 170 Woosamonsa Road in Pennington, New Jersey, is a 146-acre park that offers a unique hiking experience in the Hopewell Valley. The preserve features rolling topography with large, mature oak and hickory trees, as well as rare plant species like the showy orchis. It serves as the headwaters for Jacobs Creek and contains broad rocky streams and smaller tributaries. Groundwater seeps provide critical habitat for salamanders and may host rare dragonfly species. The preserve offers several hiking trails, including the Ridge Trail, Valley Trail, Creekside Trail, and Hollow Brook Trail. These trails can be combined to form various loops, ranging in length from less than a quarter mile to 1.5 miles. Trail markers are color-coded for easy navigation, with white markers for the Ridge Trail, yellow for the Valley Trail, blue for the Creekside Trail, and red for the Hollow Brook Trail.
