"Kayla and Erika did my mother-in-law’s, my mother’s, my MOH’s, and my hair for my wedding, and they did a fantastic job listening to our requests and executing on them. It happened to be pouring rain, and our up dos lasted most of the day. When they started to see our hair fall, they immediately freshened it up so we were good to go when we left (they also gave us hair nets to protect from the rain which was handy). We also had our makeup done by Juliana, who did a wonderful job and really made me feel comfortable (as someone who doesn’t typically wear a lot of makeup). Highly recommend them all for your next special day!"

"I had been growing out my hair since a previous bad haircut at Great Clips and just like that four months of hair growth gone… I have been trying to grow my hair out long for a year but I keep ending up back at square one. All I wanted was my undercut touched up and the overall length made symmetrical using the front of my hair as a guide as the longest part, so I can just consistently get the shaved part touched up and leave the lengths alone so they can grow. I came in with thick, full hair past my chin and left with stringy hair barely past my ears, about 1/4 the fullness it was. I asked for some movement and she completely went overboard with thinning out my hair - I’m mortified and I can’t stop crying. It’s not even just the length and texture. My undercut for one is totally uneven. I have both sides and the back of my head shaved and the stylist brought the right side of my head noticeably higher than the left side. My roommate also pointed out as soon as I got home that my side burns (which I explicitly asked to make pointed, even showing her a picture of my previous undercut that was perfect, but she didn’t seem interested in any reference pictures I had to be honest) one was totally squared off and the other was pointed. The left side of my hair is also so short. I can barely tuck it behind my ear and the right side is at least 2-3in longer. I just wanted them even and I told her explicitly not to change the lengths but to use the left side as a guide. We even did a consult weeks before and I do not live near the salon at all. I returned, over an hour away, really thinking she understood the assignment. It wasn’t until I left the salon and got to see how my hair truly looked did I realize how bad it was. I left with wet hair which at the time seemed okay because I usually air dry my hair anyways. Looking back I feel like she was either running late for another appointment or knew how stringy and frizzy she had made my hair and was worried that I would notice if I could see my hair dry. $135 after tip, and I definitely overtipped because at the time, when it was totally sopping wet, it felt and looked okay. I left with an big smile - but anyone with thick hair knows it always feels great when it’s wet, it’s more sleek and less bulky but as soon as it’s dry it fluffs up and there’s significantly more density. I thought thats what would happen… nope. Once it started to dry, after I had already left, I became so upset. It was far too thin, stringy, and grossly uneven. I look like I have been losing my hair in clumps. I feel like a rat now and it’s too short to do anything to fix it unless I want to look like a little boy. I’m doomed to wear a hat for the rest of the year at least and I’m so upset. edit: added the pics i took of the mistakes. $100 before tip and she couldn’t even take the time or care to ensure my undercut was even. :/"

"I had to plan a large wedding in NJ from out of state, which was really stressful. Jackie and the whole L&W salon really helped my morning run smoothly. From the beginning, she was quick to respond to emails/calls, and so accommodating. We were a strange party, because we needed to get ready at the salon as well, which is not common. The entire crew was very easy going, and let us use their office to change and store our dresses, which was above and beyond. I wasn't able to come in for a hair/makeup trial, which I was a little worried about. Turns out I was worried for nothing. Candace did my hair, and Paige did my makeup. I really loved both my hair and makeup that day, which was so amazing considering I never had the trial. I also ordered catering from the sickles market downstairs, and they delivered it to us that morning, which was great. Out of all the things I had to keep track of that day, the salon went so effortlessly, and I really loved my hair. It was exactly what I wanted, and kept all day long. The photographer was worried about taking photos when I mentioned we were getting ready at the salon, but once he walked in, was immediately ready to take photos, and actually excited about the way the salon was styled. I can't recommend this crew for your bridal services enough. 10/10!!"
