The Life Giving Fountain Romanian Orthodox Church
Welcome to The Life Giving Fountain Romanian Orthodox Church, a sacred place of worship located at 132 Califon Road, Washington Township, New Jersey. Our church serves as a spiritual home for the Romanian-American community, offering a space for prayer, reflection, and celebration of our rich cultural heritage. Each year, on the first Friday after Easter, we joyously celebrate "Izvorul Tămăduirii," the feast day of our church. This special event is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, highlighting her vital role in the salvation of humanity. Our community is deeply committed to preserving and honoring Romanian traditions, as exemplified by our ambitious project to build a wooden Maramureș-style church here in New Jersey. This beautiful structure stands as a symbol of the unity and strength of the Romanian people, commemorating the centennial of the 1918 unification.
