Goldfish Swim School - Manalapan

"The Manalapan location is AWESOME! I brought my niece in for swim lessons over the weekend and the staff was incredible. The teachers and desk workers were patient with my niece and just boosted her confidence in the water! The staff and management team made sure I was comfortable during the lesson. The place is clean and it shows that the weekend staff knows what’s going on!"

"My daughter has been at Goldfish for several months. She progressed quickly through the first few levels but then she seemed to plateau at Glider 3. My daughter- who can be, shall we say, “strong-willed”- was in the Glider 3 class for several weeks. She just couldn’t seem to get the mechanics down for certain strokes and tasks, yet every week Teagan patiently went through all the motions time and again with her and wouldn’t give up. Every week she encouraged my daughter and wouldn’t let her get frustrated, even though it seemed like she just want “getting it”. Today everything finally came together and my daughter was advanced to Pro 1, and Teagan deserves so much credit for that. I just wanted her to be recognized for her hard work and selflessness, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her in particular and Goldfish Manalapan as a whole to families that are considering joining the school."

"My son attended the swimming school for 6 months. In the beginning with one instructor I was seeing a ton of progress even though she often chit chatted a lot. She was good at correcting the children’s techniques/ form and not just letting them do whatever. After she left the lessons went down hill. We constantly had new instructors weekly without notice who barely knew the children. A lot of the instructors did not really pay attention to the children’s form/ technique yet at the end of class they would say the child did well. There doesn’t seem to be any motivation to get the children to want to move up or to move up the kids. Not sure how they are evaluating the children’s progress in the app I haven’t had a session report completed in almost a month. Not sure what is going on at this location as before covid and even at the beginning of the year I was completely satisfied and felt my son was progressing nicely. However now it’s stagnation and doesn’t seem to be getting better. My son loves swimming however I can’t spend another dime and invest anymore time in a place that I feel doesn’t push my child to be a better swimmer and progress."

"In the two years since my daughter joined Goldfish Swim, her swimming technique and love of the water have grown immensely. She is wheelchair bound and Goldfish has accommodated her every need to ensure a safe, inclusive, and affordable experience. Swim instructor, Ava is great at building my daughter’s confidence and celebrating milestones on her journey towards becoming a more independent swimmer. We are so grateful to have access to this program!"

"Update: I reached out to the staff and an evaluation was done on request. Thank you so much. We look forward to moving up the level soon. We love swim classes here. We have been with Goldfish in different states. Love how they’ve organized different levels. And regards kids with ribbons. My 2 cents - This facility don’t reward as much as others. Also, I’d appreciate if instructors can focus on getting kids to next level than just teaching the course. Regardless, we love swim classes and the facility. Staff is very nice and helpful."
