"I grew up here. I miss it dearly. My name is on the sign for the trail I marked when I was eleven, I built bridges, put up swings, did maintenance, and loved this place. I walked my dogs here everyday and played with friends when I was young. There’s so much to explore and see; hidden trails, frogs, fish, deer, foxes, and maybe even ghosts if you believe in that. It’s small and a bit smelly in places. There’s litter and it’s unkempt. This place isn’t perfect. The loop is barely a mile, but it does connect to other trails and the local elementary school. There’s so much wildlife and stories in a place like this. I have so much to share about it. The history is fascinating and there are secrets to these woods. I hope people explore, find joy, take peace, and love these woods as much as I did."
