"I always had a pleasant experience here, the staff is friendly and visits are quick. I was really disappointed with my last ultrasound, however, which I got done right after passing some small kidney stones. The ultrasound was being done to check specifically if there were any more stones in my kidneys. Usually the images are sent to my doctor to interpret but this time someone I never even saw nor met interpreted them. "Dr" Ira R. Stark wrote in my report that there were no abnormal findings, no stones, no swelling. Less than a week later I'm in the hospital with severe kidney stone pain. I get an x-ray done and the ER doctor finds a large 13mm x 6mm kidney stone blocking my ureter and causing my kidney to swell. I looked back at the renal ultrasound report from NJ Imaging Randolph and can even see that the ultrasound tech measured my kidneys, the affected one being substantially larger than the other. I can understand missing small kidney stones but this thing was a rock the size of a kidney bean, completely impassable and requiring surgery to remove. Although the staff is really nice I can't risk my health relying on them to hopefully interpret my imaging properly. *Update* I reached out to Karen, she said they could send all my imaging to my doctor for interpreting to avoid another huge mess up by "Dr" Ira Stark. I decided to give them another chance and scheduled another ultrasound of just my kidneys (as per my doctor). I recieved multiple texts from them in the days leading up to my appointment telling me to fill out forms online before the appointment, even though everything was already filled out (so I would hit the link and it would say ALL FORMS COMPLETE, THANKS). I get there for my ultrasound and the front desk woman asks if I drank "the water." No, what water are you talking about. (When I made the appointment the receptionist had asked if the ultrasound order form said anything about bladder, which it doesn't, so she didn't say anything about drinking water beforehand.) They tell me to start drinking water so I begin chugging the frigid water they have in the waiting room. A few minutes and a brain freeze later they tell me I have to wait a half hour before they can do the ultrasound. I'm on my lunch break, I don't have time to wait a half hour. They wasted my time, gas (MONEY), lunch break (no time to get food now and I'm pregnant) and now I need to find another place to get the ultrasound done. They almost hadn't told me about the water when I needed my first ultrasound but luckily the day before I had called with a question and the woman asked if I had been made aware of the water I had to drink; no, I hadn't been made aware. They need to have better communication and get on the same page. Extremely disappointed and frustrated, wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy."
"The technician that assisted me exhibited a friendly demeanor, although others appeared to be putting on a forced display of friendliness. Nonetheless, my appointment went smoothly and was completed within a reasonable timeframe."
