● OpenPassaic River County Park, located at 2027 Valley Road in New Jersey, is a beautiful open space along the river in Long Hill and Chatham Townships. This park is a popular tourist attraction offering a variety of activities such as hiking, picnicking, fishing, softball, canoeing, and cross-country skiing or snowshoeing in the winter. With over 847 acres of land and more than 5,000 feet of riverbank, visitors can enjoy leisurely park activities while taking in the scenic views of the Passaic River. The park also features a reservable picnic site, a softball field for recreational games, and opportunities for canoe launching and fishing along the river. Groups of 25 or more persons are required to make a reservation and obtain a permit for events at Passaic River Park. The park's Clover Hill acreage in Long Hill Township is separated from the Chatham Township section by several miles.
