About the Business

Schooley's Mountain Park, located in Washington Township, New Jersey, offers visitors a peaceful retreat in the hills of western Morris County. With 823 acres of beautiful land, the park features a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and fishing. Picnic areas, athletic fields, and a lake provide opportunities for relaxation and recreation.

Reviews
"Nice clean park, looks exceptionally maintained. There are grills and a picnic pavillion. There are clean restrooms. There is a ball field and a lake. There are several trails with the Overlook trail providing a nice view."
"Very quiet scenic county park with challenging trails. I always have hiking shoes. Restrooms are clean but unfortunately closed over winter and replaced with well-used port-a-john in the parking lot. Also there is a gorgeous lake with floating bridge to cross over right next to the main parking lot. The scenic falls are on the most challenging blue trail. Patriots path also crosses through the park."
"Great little trail system not totally marked the best I probably should had looked at the trail map before walking in hehe oh well. The canopy cover is thick here so it's dark before sunset and there is no shortage of rocks and things to trip on. It's well used so the trails are pretty clear but it's also pretty well used so there's a few spots people went off the trail and seem like the way to go til it's not. Trust your feet here they'll tell you when ur no longer on the well walked trail if you go off trail though don't trust the rocks definitely walked over a few good sized rocks that moved a lil too easy. Great views, good climb up from the lower parking lot reminded me I'm out of shape.. and I'm totally jealous of whoever has that house just in the middle of nowhere along the creek."
"This is a nice park with hiking trails leading to a scenic vista (Approximately 925' elevation) and waterfall. Fishing is allowed in Lake George and picnic tables and barbeque pits are freely available The waterfalls are worth the roughly 2.25 mile round trip hike but outside of the things previously mentioned there is not much else here. (Reason it gets 4 and not 5 Stars)"
"A beautiful park with nice trails. There are banks on the side of the parking lot, and also charcoal BBQ, though both of these are in bad condition. The trail that runs beside the waterfalls is not toddler friendly. Some people are bathing in the pond under the waterfall, if you like cold water, bring your swimsuit. The parking lot is huge. There is a public restroom, which was pretty OK. The playground was completely missing, but there is a big renovation will start in July 2021."
