Summit Park, located at 23 Alexander Avenue in Manchester Township, New Jersey, is a beautiful park dedicated to honoring veterans. It is the first township park dedicated to a select group of veterans, specifically the Tuskegee Airmen who served with merit during World War II. The park features two basketball courts, playground pieces for all age groups, a picnic area, a stamped-concrete entryway, a stone monument, and other amenities. Additionally, there is a fenced-in softball field, a basketball court, a new playground, and a picnic area at the POW-MIA Memorial Park located nearby on Johnson Avenue. The park also serves as the home of the Hawks, the Township's youth football league and cheerleading squads, with a full-size football field, practice field, concession stand, and restroom building. Pine Lake Park & Playground offers a water spray park, playground area, covered picnic areas, and a pathway along the lake shore. Other parks in the area include 6th Avenue Park, Grand Army Memorial Park, Manchester/Lakehurst Soccer Association Complex, Bowker Field, Harry Wright Lake, and World War II Veterans Memorial Park. Summit Park Playground, part of the Manchester Township Soccer Complex, was recently renovated and offers basketball and tennis courts, playground equipment, and a pavilion.
