Established in 1869, our fire station is dedicated to preserving and enhancing the quality of life in Camden through effective fire prevention and emergency services.

Our mission is to provide comprehensive fire suppression, rescue services, emergency medical support, and the mitigation of special hazards to ensure public safety. We are committed to delivering these services with professionalism and dedication, while also supporting other emergency service agencies, including the Camden County Police Department and Emergency Medical Services.

Our fire station is strategically situated to serve the Camden community efficiently, working closely with local entities like the Camden City School District, Camden Redevelopment Agency, and Camden Community Partnership, Inc., to foster a safer and more resilient community. We also collaborate with various municipal departments to ensure seamless service delivery and community support.

As part of the Camden Fire Department, which pioneered the use of fully motorized fire apparatus in 1916, we continue to uphold a tradition of innovation and excellence. Under the leadership of Jesse Flax, Chief of Department, we remain at the forefront of emergency management and public safety in Camden.

"My cat has been stuck in a tree since last night. I called Animal control who didn’t help, so I called the next community helper I figured could help… & NOTHING, not even I can come check it out. I guess that’s what happens in the real world. Hopefully she gets down on her own. My poor kids…"
