"An incredible spot on the river. Pictures and videos do not do it justice. You have to stand knee-deep in the river to take in the sense of space and place here. With the Neshanic Bridge in her "white dress" and this old rugged railroad span holding hands and being watched over by a beautiful mill house, you could not ask for a better place to be."

"An amazingly picturesque spot with 3 historic bridges and a mill on a beautiful section of the Raritan River. Originally built in 1864, this bridge is one of three that carried the South Branch Railroad across the Raritan River on its line connecting Somerville to Flemington New Jersey. The original bridge was washed away in 1896 and replaced with the one we see today. This bridge still remains but carries no trains whereas the one near Flemington still has active tracks while the one in Somerville no longer exists."
