"The calamari and shrimp combo has the most delicious sauce! I love their cocktails. They make great mules, especially their apple cider mule! Last night, I had pear and goat cheese salad with chicken (very fresh). My dining partner had some chicken dinner."

"The setting and service gives the feel of an upscale Café. The cocktails they have are proper and done very well . We started off with the short rib empanada, surprised it came out with spicy mayo since it wasn't on the menu. However once it came back the empanada was fantastic. When we got our entrees we were disappointed about hidden sugars in certain sauces or pickled veggies. I have to say despite the sugars they make a very delicious plate of food."
"We had the best time on Friday night at metropolitan cafe, Freehold, NJ. Just came on a dinner date with friends. Honestly did not have much expectation but was very very pleasantly surprised. The ambiance was amazing very upscale and chic. The drinks menu was eclectic. I took the paper plane from the specials which was a concoction of Bourbon & Aperol. It was amazing and totally gave a kick. We ordered the cheese plate and they also brought some dinner rolls and sweet butter on the house to start with. I got the scallops stuffed crabmeat with rice , my friend got the general chicken and she asked spicy and the chef made it perfect for her taste! The boys got the steak and the taco and both were amazing. We also got the chocolate cake for dessert to share and it was nice too. Our server was very nice and she took amazing pictures of us. Highly recommend this place for date nights or just fun get togethers ."
