"A couple years ago I took my mom to another acupuncturist for back pain. The other acupuncturist was so desperate to get us in the door that they over promised and under delivered. I was told one session a week for a few weeks will help her and this sounded too good to be true, but I went forward with the recommendation. As I thought, my mom had no relief. It seemed like the other acupuncturist was just telling us what we wanted to hear, not what is best for us. They did massage on my mom which we never asked for. She had some relief after the massage but quickly went away, so we weren’t sure if this was the acupuncture helping or not. Hisham Amer was the complete opposite. He recommended a more diligent treatment for her, coming in twice a week for 12 sessions. He was realistic with my mom since her condition is chronic and did not promise results, but said there is a decent chance of improvement. It’s been two weeks since our last session and thankfully my mom is pain free. Choose where you go wisely."
