"My review is based on my time as Joe's tenant. I would not recommend him for plumbing/heating in a million years based on my experience. He took months to fix a washer dryer leak down to the lower apartment. After replacing the unit it caused a gas leak that he told me was not real and refused to address even though PSEG confirmed it was unsafe. He did not resolve broken smoke detectors for at least 6 months even with a child in the home. He also withheld $1000 from my security deposit based on damage from a previous tenant. I shared photo evidence and he will not speak with me, even blocked my phone number."

"We have used J Valente plumbing for “emergency” and non emergency services recently and have been very happy. We discovered a leak on Saturday afternoon. After doing some demo, I found the leak. I Called Joe to see if someone could come out to do an immediate fix. Unfortunately he could not but he instructed us to turn off the water for the heat and he would get someone out asap. Since we didn’t need the heat and the water stopped dripping, we were ok with waiting. Al, one of the techs, came out on Monday afternoon to repair the leaking baseboard pipe. We were happy with the end result."

"Joe came out once and fixed my toilet. It was a pricey repair but he did a good job. The second time I hired him to repair a clogged shower drain. He made an appointment but never showed. I called him several times but he never returned my call or explained why he didn’t show. I would not recommend using this plumber as he is unreliable."
