Visitors can marvel at the original printing of the Declaration of Independence, Beethoven’s autograph music sketchbook from 1815-16, and Shakespeare’s first four folios. The library also houses significant autograph music manuscripts by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, and Wagner, as well as a lengthy speech by Abraham Lincoln from 1856 addressing the issues of slavery, and Gen.
