Nestled on the serene shores of Culver Lake in Branchville, New Jersey, Christ Union Chapel is a cherished place of worship and community gathering. Located at 155 Lower North Shore Road, our chapel provides a unique worship experience with breathtaking views of the lake, creating an atmosphere of peace and reflection.
We are excited to welcome Pastor Lloyd Syvertsen as our new pastor for the summer of 2024 and beyond. With a rich history of ministry spanning over four decades, Pastor Lloyd brings a wealth of experience and a heart for service. His journey began as a young boy in Staten Island, NY, and has led him through various ministries and pastoral roles across the metro NY area. We look forward to his leadership as we continue our mission of sharing the gospel and serving the Culver Lake community.
Our services are a welcoming space for individuals from diverse backgrounds and faith traditions. Whether you're Protestant, Catholic, from a mainline denomination, or have no church affiliation, all are welcome at Christ Union Chapel. Join us for our summer services, beginning June 23rd, every Sunday at 10:00 am on the lawn, weather permitting. Childcare is available across the street at the Manse, ensuring a family-friendly environment for all.
Christ Union Chapel is proud to be entering its 115th season of Christian ministry. Our chapel has been a beacon of faith and community for residents and neighbors of Culver Lake, a private lake in Sussex County's beautiful Skylands region. Surrounded by rolling mountains, lakes, and farmland, our location offers a picturesque retreat, just 70 miles northwest of New York City.
As we bid farewell to our beloved Pastor Bill and Bev, who have retired after 13 years of devoted service, we express our heartfelt gratitude for their impactful ministry. Their leadership has left an enduring legacy, and we wish them joy and blessings in their retirement adventures.
We invite you to discover the beauty and spirit of Christ Union Chapel, where faith, fellowship, and the love of Christ unite. Join us for our last service of the summer this Sunday at 10:00 am, followed by our final float service at 6:30 pm. Until we meet again, may you have a blessed, safe, and healthy winter.
