The IEEE History Center, located at 445 Hoes Lane in Piscataway, New Jersey, is a university institution dedicated to preserving and promoting the legacy of electrical engineering and computing. Since its establishment in 1980, the History Center has been the staff arm of the IEEE History Committee, advising the IEEE Board of Directors on matters related to the heritage of IEEE and its members. In 2014, the Center moved to Stevens Institute of Technology before relocating to the IEEE Operations Center in Piscataway in January 2021. The History Center relies on support from the community to carry out projects such as REACH, Milestones, and Oral History Collection.
