Founded by Coach John Bawden, a local boxing legend with roots deeply embedded in Elizabeth, NJ, our facility is dedicated to honing the skills of both amateur and professional fighters. Coach John Bawden, a USA Boxing certified Bronze Level Coach, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Razer Boxing Gym. With a career spanning over a decade, he has trained alongside and learned from some of the best in the business. His journey began at the esteemed El Coqui Boxing Club in Newark, NJ, under the guidance of Manuel "Juancho" Torres, and continued at the Elite Heat Boxing Club with future world champions like Shakur Stevenson and Vito Mielnicki. Under the mentorship of the legendary John "Brother Yah-Yah" Thompson, Coach Bawden refined his coaching craft, preparing him to open Razer Boxing Gym in 2021.
