"Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience here and ended up changing pediatricians for my daughter because if it. I’d like to start by saying I have never left a Google review. The reason I am today is because I feel strongly that people know my experience. My last appointment with Kristen was late winter of 2023 for my daughter’s 12 month appointment. At the beginning of the appointment when Kristen needed to check my daughter’s ears/nose/mouth, Kristen had me maneuvering/restraining my daughter that felt extremely unnatural and borderline vicious. She instructed me to use my two hands to grip her wrists and hold her forehead back with my arm. The next position was holding down her legs and restraining her forehead hard against mine. Kristen hadn’t communicated her goal, which was to examine ears/nose/mouth, so it made it hard for be to understand what we were doing and why. Instead, it was extremely chaotic and of course my daughter started to cry. Kristen began raising her voice at me by saying “come on mom, tell her it’s okay. Say it like you mean it!” If you’re a mother, I hope you can put yourself in my shoes and imagine a woman yelling at you to convince your daughter that “it’s okay” when you, yourself, are even uncomfortable. All while this was happening, she was rattling off info about how many words my daughter should say by 15 months 18 months, and other milestones. Again, it was a poor example of communication because this was amidst the chaos and it was so hard for me to focus. (I’d like to point out- I don’t expect a doctors appointment for a very young child to go perfectly smoothly. I understand they are bound to cry and I understand the mom may help hold/support the baby so the doctor can get where he/she needs- this goes far beyond those standards.) I left the visit feeling stunned, deeply uncomfortable, and it legitimately made me feel guilty as a mother that I didn’t step in and take a break during the exam. A routine doctors visit should not make people feel this way."

"I’m going to be really honest about my experience here. I have brought my daughter here twice so far. She’s 18 months. My son (4 years old) came along recently for an emergency appointment for my daughter. My husband and I transferred our kids here from another pediatrician because we didn’t think the old pediatrician was all that great. The old pediatrician didn’t care about my children’s all around well being. They seriously lacked in knowledge and care that my son apparently needs. Let me tell you the first appointment here at ipediatrics was like a night and day difference from the quality of care from the doctor over at the old place to new place. The doctor here is to the point and very direct. That is not to take away from the care of this new doctor . Care wise she is amazing. I was taken aback at how direct they were though and some of the things I was doing parenting wise was an no go according to them which I thought was a bit harsh but to the point ; and an eye opener. It put me on edge a bit. Up until going to this pediatrician, I never thought my parenting style on certain things was gentle. My husband and I are military so this was a shock to me hearing this after meeting her for the first time 10 minutes into our daughters appointment. It’s just how their practice is unlike a couple of pediatricians I’ve been to.(Due to moving to different locations) I asked the front desk lady if anyone else thought the staff and doctor were intense. She answered yes she hears that a lot . It’s honestly a breath of fresh air coming here knowing this doctor is very knowledgeable, truthful, and has a lot of experience. I feel as if my kids are in the best care here most definitely. I do suggest to have a thicker parenting skin coming here as the doctor and also the nurse I had are pretty intense. Overall great experience here! We will continue coming here for the best care for our children."

"Kristen DePuyt is by far the best pediatrician I found for my kids over 7 years ago. The staff is phenomenal, on top of everything. It amazes me how efficient they all work together and I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my kids. I drive an hour away because I wouldn’t trust anyone else to care for my kids. iPediatrics is a different experience, the environment is always welcoming. Best decision I’ve made for my kids."

From the second I contacted iPediatrics to ask general questions to my first visit with my son, I felt so at ease. The entire team at the Oak Ridge office is AMAZING! They answer all of our questions and reassure us that we’re doing everything that’s best for our son. She is friendly is so is the whole staff at the office. I have never had such a pleasant experience going to a doctors office."
