"This doctor is very kind and very caring. It is why I gave 2 stars and not 1. The reason for the low rating, however, is that I brought my mom to her for memory issues. We had read her wonderful reviews and believed she would be the perfect person for my mom. Dr. Dragonescu recognized my mom’s cognitive issues, but said my mom should take magnesium. Period. I specifically requested medication for the memory like Aricept, as I had read this can slow down the progress of cognitive decline. Dr. D turned us down for this, said it would not help and “it would only make her feel sleepy, but not improve her memory.” We left there unsatisfied, and next tried a different geriatrician, who agreed to try my mom on Aricept for her memory. THE DIFFERENCE IS NIGHT & DAY!!! Not only did it dramatically slow down the progression of her decline, but it RESTORED so much of my mother’s ability to comprehend, reason, and remember!! I told the 2nd doctor I feel like she gave my mom a “miracle drug!” I LITERALLY GOT MY MOTHER BACK!!! So as much as Dr. D was very nice, nice is NOT ENOUGH. Dr. D completely dismissed a drug that has offered my mom a new lease on life. Dr. D said, “It would not help,” when it is a TOTAL game-changer! She said it would just make her sleepy, when it does NOT make her tired—at all! I understand that Dr. D obviously is fairly averse to traditional meds, but in the best interest of her patients, she cannot afford to put her own personal ideas onto her patients. My 82-yo mom met with Dr. D last Sept., so it has been almost a year now. My mom would be full-scale dementia by now if I had not determined to look further and find a different geriatrician for her who would agree to give her the Aricept that she NEEDED, that TURNED HER LIFE AROUND. I rarely write reviews. I felt, after a year of weighing it, however, that I OWE it to whoever else is in cognitive decline, and is terrified of losing all their memories, to look further, and to get a doctor who, even if they are not the “nicest” doctor (although this would be nice!), will prescribe them the medication that has PROVEN to help—over simply magnesium. Even if she would not choose traditional medication for herself, as a M.D., she OWES it to her patients to at least allow them to TRY it and see if it can in fact make a difference."

"I've been going to Dr. D for yrs now. She is wonderful. Great bedside manner. Makes you feel like a person. Not just another number to check off the list. This is very important to me. I am very sick, so I'm at the Drs often. I would highly recommend this office to anyone who is looking. Everyone is very helpful."

"My first visit here was a really good one. I am a complicated case. Dr. Draganescu was on time. She actually listened to me. That's so rare. She took her time with me. Also rare. Unfortunately I didn't get all my records in time for the visit, but she asked me questions. She was honest, so nice and I really really loved her. I got very lucky to get to have her as my new doctor. The office staff was really nice too."
