Sunrise Café of Ocean City NJ is a charming breakfast spot located at 1200 Asbury Avenue in Ocean City, New Jersey. Established in 2013, our family-owned restaurant aims to provide residents and vacationers with delicious home-cooked meals by the beach.

Our inspiration for opening Sunrise Café stems from the memory of our beloved family member, “Nana,” who was a lifelong vacationer in Ocean City. She was our biggest supporter and her passing motivated us to fulfill our dream of starting a breakfast place in her favorite location.

At Sunrise Café, we strive to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere where guests can enjoy a hearty meal while reminiscing about cherished moments spent with family. Our menu features a variety of breakfast options that are sure to satisfy your cravings.

"We came down on the off season and most places were closed, but we found this place. They had some great lunch specials which were only $10. The portions were generous and it was all really good. I had the Buffalo empanadas, which were amazing! They also served breakfast all day, which was a nice option. We’ll definitely be back."

"Had a great breakfast here. We had a choice of inside or out. Chose outside. Very interesting because woman walked around with a hawk on her arm to scare away the seagulls. My granddaughters loved seeing this. I love these kinds of mom and pop restaurants. They are not fancy, but the food is usually always good. This one didn’t disappoint. Quality where it counts: fresh ingredients, generous portions, sturdy table, nice large cloth napkins, well balanced utensils, easy to handle menu, pleasant staff, excellent service, good prices."

"Great little cafe. Veggie omelette with added jalapeños and awesome multigrain toast was delicious (my husband says). Potatoes had peppers and was good as well. CYO breakfast sandwich, consisting of two eggs and pork roll on brioche was yummy. Portions were substantial. Wait staff was very pleasant. The decor was a “no frills” basic cafe with covered outdoor seasonal seating."

"My family has eaten breakfast here since they opened in 2013. Relaxing mood, outdoor seating and inside, if you prefer. Used to be relatively inexpensive but since inflation, the prices are much higher now. I had 3 breakfast tacos and tomato juice, while my son had creamed chipped beef. Both were large servings but were overpriced considering how much I spent in all those years."
