Applebee's Grill + Bar

"Food was good. As a single diner I sat at the bar for dinner. Staff (2 people) were behind the bar. The staff member who took my order was fine. Period. That’s all she did. No “is everything all right” after food delivered; no further interaction beyond “do you want another drink” after my dinner plate sat empty in-front of me. The other staff member behind the bar picked up my credit card without acknowledgement of my presence. My experience at the bar was observation of the two bar tenders chatting together and with wait staff who arrived to pick up their drinks. Lots of time for small talk amongst themselves. No eye contact. No concept of what hospitality means to a traveler (the location is on Rt 95). My reaction may be tempered by the fact that I am traveling from the south where smiling faces and a hello are baseline behaviors in the business of hospitality."

"Ordered 4 cheese Mac n honey pepper chicken tenders. And literally was given unsalted noodles and chicken tenders. I've never been speechless before. But I'm mind blown at how careless and lazy this is. There's no bacon, and I didn't even get one cheese let alone 4. I'm just blown away. If you can't do your job, quit."

"Food was average--I had the riblets. When I asked for some dipping sauce, the hostess acted as if I was putting her out by asking. When I asked our waiter for more napkins, prior to our meals, he brought me two. For ribs. The kicker, though, was that our waiter never asked us if we needed anything. As soon he left our table, he was on his phone. We only received or requested items after he had passed by our table. He never even stopped by our table while we were eating, to see if everything was okay or not. I'm sorry to say that because of the poor service, and poor attitude, our waiter received about a $2.50 tip from each of us, for about a $20 meal."

"Disappointed to say the least. The main course of our food was great my burger was very juicy and everything on it was great and my friends steak and mac and cheese were delicious as well unfortunately that's where the good stopped. My side french fries were basically all end pieces and hard and my friends broccoli was brown and wet and obviously had been sitting all day. She also got one of the special holiday drinks which was good but missing the gummy that is supposed to be in the drink as it has in the picture but didn't have any really shouldn't advertise it if you don't have it. Now on to the service which was absolutely horrible no other way to describe it. Over 20 minutes for our food asked for a soda refill and waited 10 minutes for that which I finally got at the end of my meal which I didn't really need at that point. She never asked once if everything was ok I had also mentioned it was my friend's birthday and nothing from the waitress (Jordan) not even a token Happy Birthday. The atmosphere is a typical Applebee's nothing special but still nice and clean inside and out but who really goes for just the atmosphere nowadays and when the atmosphere is the best part of your meal that's a BIG PROBLEM. Goes without saying we will not be going back as this location as this was our first and last visit to this Applebee's which is ashame as it's only 5 minutes from my house I guess it's back to Cracker Barrel right next store. So save yourself the time and money and go elsewhere because it's not worth it TRULY DISAPPOINTING!"
