"Would give this place 5 stars if it wasnt for the morons that decided to push over the only portajohn and set it partially on fire. The first dock got separated and unmoored and floated away by the dam, and the state left it that way all summer long. The other dock is still there but farther away. Great place to paddle but try a weekday for a much quieter experience."

"Quet, peaceful area with a boat launch. Follow the road (section unpaved) to the dam. Once across the dam the parking lot will be on your left. Next time, I'll explore the ruins of the Split Rock Furnace."
"One of my favorite lakes to Kayak on. There are 2 kayak launches. There is a 200 feet carry to get your kayaks to the launch. The path to the right is much easier to carry them down than the steep on going straight down. A kayak trolley would be easier. One of the best kayak lakes in NJ . Peaceful, lots of islands and wildlife."
