"Do not recommend this title agency. After experiencing issues with our realtor and our proceeds as we sold our home, we ended up walking away with no money. This was part of the realtors miscommunication to us. However, the Core TITLE agency also messed up on their end. My fiancé was told she would receive a check of $2,000 from the quarter taxes that were paid from our mortgage company. Kaitlyn Boyd mentioned that we would receive the check once they confirm with the tax office of the township that the taxes were paid. Once confirmed, she would release the check to us. Because she could not get a hold of them the day of closing, she promised to hold it until she contacts them once the payment post to the tax office, she would release the check and we can pick it up. However she did not do this. She ended up going MIA as we tried to contact her multiple times in a week. We emailed, called and never received a response. It took her almost 2 weeks to get back to us. We ended up contacting the tax office ourselves and recieved information from the tax office saying the payment posted. That is when we went back to contact Kaitlyn and didn’t get a hold of her. Fast forward, we spoke to another agent from the title agency named Richard and he provided us with information that Kaitlyn sent the check to the tax office and now we have to wait 6-8 weeks for the refund to be made back to the mortgage company. So now we won’t see the money until 10 weeks if not longer. Richard mentioned he was not sure why she did that and when I finally got a hold of Kaitlyn, she did not held herself accountable for her mistake rather said she sent the payment because the tax office never confirmed that it posted. This was extremely negligent and frustrating to us that we went through this knowing we made nothing off a sale and we depended on that money. I would NEVER RECOMMEND OR DO BUSINESS WITH THIS TITLE COMPANY EVER!!!"
