Avis Car Rental

"3 stars. Because the representative tricked me and said it’s no upgrades available upon entering my car .. there was a better luxury car available which was in the upgrade section.. it made no sense to park the car back since I already drove in it. The location needs a higher selection of cars available not just being stuck to one car I understand in the luxury group.. there is only this “electrified genesis” but sometimes people want a bigger variety of upgrades available like the BMW i5M I saw. That is making it a better experience. Since I feel like some customers are being limited to a selection of SUV’s or those “luxury EVs” which removes the point of renting out a gas car from them since they don’t offer a luxury selection such as Enterprise."

"if you are flying into Newark EWR - do yourself a favor and stay away from Avis. I am under the Presidents club as a preferred member. My vehicle was reserved and I was assigned a spot. upon arriving to my spot there was no vehicle. it’s been a long travel day - it’s 10:25pm and still have a 50 minute drive to my destination. this is suppose to be and easy task instead it’s turning into staff not knowing how to help - only two employees working for three rental companies - Avis - Budget and Payless and even better a lite up preferred desk with no staff!! this is unacceptable- I will surely be looking into switching my corporate account. I can’t imagine having to put my employees through this same nonsense- DO BETTER AVIS! you rental are over priced and you still cannot get it together. shame on you and your service - you must represent this company better."

"I rented an EV, didn’t like much the fact that it’s so hard to be charging it on the go while you’re on vacations. It’s worth if you’re renting it for two days, but once the battery starts to run low it becomes a hassle. I went to the agency on the third or fourth day and swapped it for a RAM free of charge, so I was very happy about that. Pretty straight forward, no issues!"

"Clean. Very clearly marked directions to get to the rental place easy access and they kept very long lines moving pretty fast. Easy access to rental cars. They gave us one that smelled like smoke and changed it for us right away. Easy to find your car number. Very good service!!"
