Welcome to Jeff Lake Day Camp, the premier summer day camp located at 38 Jefferson Lake Road in Stanhope, New Jersey. Nestled in the picturesque Sussex County, our camp offers a dynamic and enriching environment for children ages 3 to 15. Spanning an impressive 350 acres, Jeff Lake Day Camp combines the best elements of traditional overnight camps with the convenience of a day camp setting.
Our centerpiece is a stunning 50-acre lake, where campers can enjoy thrilling activities such as our inflatable lake playground, fishing, stand-up paddleboarding, sailing, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boating, and rowing. Beyond the lake, our state-of-the-art facilities include tennis courts, ropes and climbing courses, expansive sports fields, and dedicated spaces for dance and gymnastics.
We also nurture creativity and curiosity with our science, art, and pottery studios, while our five heated pools are perfect for swimming and water games. At Jeff Lake Day Camp, every day is an adventure filled with opportunities to learn, grow, and make lifelong friendships. "I think they need more adult counselors to handle these kids. These children are screaming curse words and hitting each other. You can visibly see it from the Allamuchy trail. That raises a lot of concern that no one is watching them. Very ill behaved and so loud, where is the counselor????? I notice almost every time I walked past this summer that there are groups of several children per 1-2 young counselors and they obviously are getting overwhelmed. Yikes."
"I just wanted to shout out Sue Rynar at Jeff Lake Camp. My son was there for a party over the weekend and he left his new shoes. Sue was super helpful in finding them and getting them shipped back to me. Thank you Sue!!! While we don't live in New Jersey, I got to visit the camp when I went to pick my son up from the event he was at, and boy is it a wonderful looking camp! The facilities look awesome, the staff was super helpful and engaging with the guests and the boys had an amazing time. Clearly Jeff Lake Camp is a fabulous place to be!!"

"We had a lovely day at Jeff Lake camp celebrating the Bar Mitzvah of a family member. The camp provided a wonderful setting for the children to have a child oriented day of fun activities and the adults to have a chance to relax and enjoy being with each other. Each activity area was supervised by a camp counselor. The activities included swimming in a pool, mini golf, basketball. There are also playgrounds for younger children. The bathroom facilities were spotless. It was a perfect day."
"I Went to a company bbq here and it was great. Canoeing, row boats, paddle boats, tennis courts, volley ball, and large swimming pools all monitored by lifeguards. The parking was a little far if you arrived late but its a beautiful walk. Great place to go with the family."
