Welcome to Boy Scouts Camp Allamuchy, located at 750 Waterloo Road, Stanhope, New Jersey. Nestled in the historic and scenic Mt. Allamuchy Scout Reservation, Camp Somers offers an unparalleled outdoor experience for Scouts of all ages. Our camp provides a wide array of activities and facilities, ensuring an adventure-filled experience any time of year. From thrilling ATV rides to challenging climbing courses, and our exciting new water obstacle course, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Our Trailblazer Day Camp offers a week-long summer adventure for Scouts BSA, welcoming both new and experienced Scouts. The program includes opportunities for rank advancement, merit badge work, and participation in high adventure activities. Running for four weeks, Monday through Friday, our day camp provides bus transportation from various locations across Morris, Sussex, and NW Somerset counties, making it convenient for Scouts to join us for one or multiple weeks.

For families seeking financial assistance, the Thomas A. Pepe Camping Scholarship is available to help cover camp costs. Keep an eye out for our 2025 application, coming soon. Additionally, we offer Specialty Weeks, allowing Scouts to focus on their favorite activities for a unique resident camp experience.

Beyond summer, Camp Somers offers year-round activities and facility rentals to keep the adventure alive. Our PPC Adventure Programs include COPE, climbing, shooting sports, and more, ensuring that the fun never ends.

"It was a good place to camp. The bathrooms were clean, same with cabins, with picnic tables, so no grounds, but make sure to bring that the tent is no ground for camping. So be prepared. Thank you."

"I was a scout for many years, and can confidently say this camp is one of the best that Patriots Path has to offer, if not THE best. During my time in scouting, I made memories here that will last me a lifetime. The camp is set next to a wonderful lake, which looks beautiful in the cool mornings when the mist and fog float over the water. The shower houses are well maintained and kept clean by the amazing camp rangers. The amazing camp staff provide a great program for all, and are very welcoming and helpful."

"Pretty good camp. I went as a scout and thought it was fun. They give you a decent amount of food to eat for the table so that's good. I liked the staff and they offer quite a few merit badges. One thing I truly liked was how they offer two merit badges in one session at the same time so you get 2 merit badges at once. Pretty decently organized"

I am a Life Scout currently and I grew up since first grade camping in Camp Somers. Te food is always amazing and better than other camps, the staff is awesome year after year, and the facilities are always clean. I recommend it for all that want to have a great time in the outdoors. Best scouting camp I've been to hands down. A+ Camp 10/10"
