"I had a wonderful experience today at GSD. I had a root canal done today and as we all know they are not fun. Dr. Wertheim And his staff are extremely friendly and patient. It was actually not a bad experience whatsoever. Happy to continue going back here for all my dental needs."

"What happened to this place can only be described as a crying shame. I am a 20~ year patient of Dr. Mark, along with my wife. The last few years have been terrible. First, I have made at least a handful of appointments with the hygienist - all of which were cancelled. I can't tell you when the last time was that I had a cleaning because of this. I had a crown done a few years ago and it kept coming off. At that time I was repeatedly charged for the repair. The final reseal has held but the tooth is sensitive and will probably need to be redone. I have been hesitant to go back because I don't feel that I should have to pay for it again. The office staff has been a revolving door and I understand that the pandemic and everything was hard on people, but I run a business and I know that if I'm going to continue to be "in business" I have to at least try to accommodate people. Aside from Dr. Mark himself, you'll find none of that at Garden State Dental. The other day my filling came out and so I called to make an appointment. The best they could do was 11am. Not a single late appointment even if I waited a while. Nothing early either. What's more, I was asked if my insurance had changed, and was then told "Dr. Mark doesn't take either of your insurances anymore." To which I asked how that's possible that my 20 year dentist all of the sudden doesn't take my insurance. I was met with "we have another dentist that may take it". Now why would I go to Garden State Dental only to sit in a room across from MY DENTIST, only to wave at him while some new guy drills my filling out? No. So I made an appointment with my new dentist at a new office, and I couldn't be happier. Went in for my filling, some decay was found underneath. All was cleaned out and refilled in under 30 minutes. Now my wife and I both have appointments with our new hygienist for a Sunday morning. How awesome is that? No insurance issues, no astronomical costs, just in and out with smiles on both sides of the chair. I truly feel bad even having to write this as I like Dr. Mark, but this is just insane and I don't see how it could be a sustainable business model."

"I became a new patient at Garden State Dental at the beginning of the year and have had only excellent experiences. I was very impressed by the dental hygienists who do a wonderful job with cleanings. I was even more impressed with the dentist yesterday when I had some composite fillings done for receding gums *without anesthetic* -- which I would never have thought possible if I had not experienced it. I'm very impressed by the level of care and the quality of the work at this office and would highly recommend them."

"This was a good place and I stress was!. They change their staff weekly it seems, and you can't build a rapport. Going to the Dentist is already hard, because I hate the drilling but who doesn't. I used to like the family friendly environment they had, Dr Litmann was like family. I'm sorry to leave but I can't take all the times they reschedule my appointments and all the new doctors and support staff that come thru. The last straw was I am getting billed for a so called appointment I didn't know I had..... please choose another office."
