"I've been denied courtesy pay after almost 20 years banking with this bank. Last time I was in the branch I noticed the same woman the literally attacked me 3 to 4 years ago. She put her finger in my chest and then thought it was a good idea to poke me in the chest. When I pushed her hand away she threatened to call the police. I told her to go ahead because it was all on camera. The other staff was horrified at her behavior. I was in about to weeks ago and noticed the same woman working at the Nashua branch again. So low and behold all of a sudden I'm not aloud courtesy pay? My boyfriend and his mother also bank with them but are more than will for us all to change banks. I'm sure it's the same person that has apparently harassed other customers as well. Sincerely one pissed off customer...."

"I’ve worked in Banking (larger institutions) for over 5 years so granted, that’s not as much as others, but I was absolutely disgusted by the performance given to me by the employees at this branch. The manager in particular. Honestly, in customer service of any kind you try and grant leeway for understanding, it can be daunting for sure. The manager and teller attendants at this branch, however, show a overly obtuse distain for providing walk in service. You are scorned simply for the chore you represent. I wouldn’t be as frustrated if they hadn’t taken my appearance (disheveled and dirty from yard working) to be offensive and clearly fraudulent. Since I’m not a customer, I wasn’t allowed to cash a personal check or even inquire as to opening an account. Fraud is something everyone, let alone need to be cautious of, no doubt, but for the amount of time I was made to wait in helpless silence as they “Verified” my information, the check information, and contacting the check writer personally… anyone could have reasonably deduced the check was legit and the purpose it’s for. A teller has access to every signature within an account, not only that, but the check was for a service I had been providing for several months. All they had to do was click the statement and a valid trend would have presented itself. Instead they chose to be bad humans that day. Bottom line."

"I decided to join this credit union via their on-line application. I did not hear from them for a bit and decided to call. They denied my application stating that “I blocked my credit report”. I told the associate “no problem. I didn’t block anything and I will just go elsewhere”. 2 weeks later I got a bank statement with all of my banking info. I called today to see what the status was and was told that my account didn’t actually exist and they just voided it. Said it was their mistake. Horribly poor operation at Bellwether. St. Mary’s with a smile, a thank you and one of those cheap drink bottles."

"Much like the other credit union I use, going in person gets you amazing service and the reps I've spoken to at their branch in Nashua were all amazing! Unfortunately any time I have called it has been a huge hassle and their credit card provider is awful to deal with. I ended up closing my accounts, but was still receiving mail and emails from them which I've had to reach back out to stop despite no longer having accounts. The mail is particularly egregious - they mailed me about the debit card being transitioned when I closed my accounts over a month ago. Ridiculous. EDIT: Updating to one star because I am still getting mail as if I'm a member despite my account supposedly being properly closed after I spoke with someone after writing the above. Completely unacceptable"

"I do not feel comfortable or safe allowing Bellwether to handle my money anymore. Never in my life had I ever been treated with such poor customer service skills as I was today. Pauline in their contact center does not care about customer relationships and will actively gaslight you. Lou will at least take responsibility for the company's actions, but not before he states that he can "do this song and dance all day!" They will talk over you, belittle you, and pass the buck until, like me, your opinion sours and you want to go anywhere else. They use account notes to bully you, ensuring that you recieve the same horrific treatment from anyone and everyone that you need to speak with."
