Master Gardener Orchard - University of Nevada Cooperative Extension
The Master Gardener Orchard at the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension is located at 4600 Horse Drive in Las Vegas, Nevada. This program is a volunteer educator initiative that teaches research-based gardening practices to volunteers who then share their knowledge with their communities through workshops, events, and more. In Clark County, Master Gardener volunteers maintain Botanic Gardens open to the public. Those interested in becoming a volunteer must complete the Home Horticulture Certificate course before entering the Master Gardener Training Program, which is offered online annually in the fall. The total cost of the program is $300 and includes course materials. Master Gardeners in Southern Nye County give back by volunteering in their local demonstration garden.
