Racetrack Cabin
Racetrack Cabin is a rustic one-room log cabin located along Racetrack Creek in the Flint Range of western Montana, near the Continental Divide. Originally built to house miners in the 1930s, this remote cabin has been refurbished for public use by the Forest Service. Guests can enjoy a true backcountry experience with no distractions from cellular or internet service. The area offers motorized and non-motorized trails leading to scenic lake basins and stunning views. Fishing opportunities are abundant in nearby lakes and streams. The cabin is equipped with bunk beds, a propane stove, lantern, kitchen supplies, and wood stove for heat. Guests must bring their own bedding, water, and other essentials as there is no electricity or running water at the cabin. The surrounding area is densely forested with opportunities for hiking, hunting, fishing, and wildlife viewing.
